About This Course

Dementia Care Mapping involves careful observation, coding and interpretation. For those who have previously completed DCM training, refreshing these skills can provide an opportunity to revisit the mapping process and practise applying the coding rules.

In this half-day refresher, participants will review key aspects of the DCM observation process and coding rules before taking part in mapping practice. Participants will also review their mapping results, check concordance and revisit the reporting process.

The course is intended as a refresher for previously trained DCM participants, rather than a replacement for the standard DCM course.
